California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy of Best Life Policy Buyout (“BLPB”) and applies only to California residents. It explains the rights you have under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).


Your Rights Under California Law

As a California resident, you have the following rights:

  1. Right to Know
    You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purpose for collecting or sharing it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

  2. Right to Delete
    You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.

  3. Right to Correct
    You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

  4. Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing
    You may direct us not to sell or share your personal information with third parties. We do not sell personal information for money, but we may share it for advertising, analytics, or similar business purposes.   5. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
    You may direct us to limit the use of your sensitive personal information (such as Social Security number, driver’s license, or health data) to what is necessary to provide requested services.

  6. Right to Non-Discrimination
    We will not deny goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service if you exercise your privacy rights.

We collect the following categories of personal information, as defined under California law:

  • Health and Medical Information (e.g., doctor records, prescriptions, life expectancy reports)

  • Financial Information (e.g., policy type, payment history, policy value)

  • Commercial Information (e.g., records of services requested or considered)

  • Internet/Technical Data (e.g., IP address, browser type, device identifiers, cookies, usage data)

  • Audio/Visual Data (e.g., recordings of phone calls with our representatives)

We collect this information from you directly, from your insurance provider, from healthcare providers, and from third-party service providers who help us evaluate or process life settlement transactions.

When you make a request, we will need to verify your identity. This may include matching the information you provide with information we already have on file.

You may also designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. We will require written proof of the agent’s authority.


Children’s Data

We do not knowingly collect or sell personal information of minors under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.


Updates to This Notice

We may update this CCPA Notice from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above.
